Glock publishes no launch press release for the G27 Gen5 — every live release was checked on 2026-08-12, and the only one naming the model, SHOT Show 2025, lists "G27 Gen4/Gen5" in a GLOCK Performance Trigger compatibility table rather than announcing a launch — so year introduced is unrecorded, as on the G22 and G23 Gen5 records. Glock's own overview adds a compatibility warning: the slide width of the .40 S&W Gen5 models is slightly larger than the previous generation, which it says to consider when choosing a holster. The owner's manual spec table (p. 56) was cross-checked on 2026-08-12 and matches the product page on every dimension.
